Concrete Cutting
Greene’s Inc. (cutting division) was founded in 1990 with five trucks and seven employees. We mainly concentrated on concrete wall sawing, flat sawing, core drilling, and demolition. While holding true to our motto, "Service First," we have grown the cutting division to over thirty employees and more than 20 cutting trucks comprising a specialized workforce that makes up just one of five divisions that represent Greene's Inc.

Flat Sawing
These saws come in a large variety, from small push types to larger self-propelled units. Each one is tailored to a specific type of work. They are also powered differently. Gasoline and diesel powered saws are used for cutting outside or in well-ventilated areas. Typically, gas and diesel saws are more powerful and cut faster, making them the least costly to run. Gas saws can be used for nearly any outdoor project, from driveways to freeways, and everything in between. The alternative lies in saws powered by electricity or hydraulics, primarily used for plumbing and electrical trenches inside homes and commercial buildings.

Sealing/Epoxy Division
Joint sealing is a very important finishing touch to any concrete job. As joints crack due to shrinkage, dirt and rocks can work their way in, causing spalling when the concrete expands. Joint sealing also prevents water from getting under the slab, which can cause heaving in the winter, washing away of the sub base, and settling. Sealing joints also makes the slab easier to clean.
Inside, floor coatings beautify and protect concrete floors. In garages, coatings improve visibility and prevent oils and grease from penetrating the concrete, making cleaning the floor a breeze. Parking lots and garages can also be coated, protecting the concrete from acids, oils, and salts that can destroy the steel reinforcement. Concrete coatings can also be used to make an area non-skid or to increase traction. Coatings come in any color you wish, adding style to its functionality.
Our sawing and sealing capabilities can be used for Highways, Airports, Municipal Streets, Parking Lots, Bridge Structures, Concrete Spall and Patch Repairs, Epoxy, and Waterproofing.

Radon Mitigation
Greene's Inc., the Intermountain region's premier radon detection and mitigation expert, is teaming up with the Utah Department of Environmental Quality and Utah Safety Council to educate homeowners and landlords about the dangers of radon. Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, and occurs naturally when uranium in soil, rock, and water breaks down. The resulting gas seeps into buildings where it can be inhaled. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, lung cancer caused by radon claims nearly 20,000 lives every year.
"Lung cancer from radon gas is a huge problem most Americans don't even think about while living in or buying their homes," says Jeremy Worley, a certified radon mitigation expert at Greene's Inc. "This terrible disease and the needless deaths that result from radon exposure can be almost entirely avoided with a simple test and, if needed, the installation of a radon mitigation system."
