Over the years we’ve done a lot of jobs. Some big, some small, but we approach every one with the very same expertise and attention to detail. Here are a few jobs that show what we do, and how we do it best.

New road adjacent to cement plant. The project, Lost Creek Road Reconstruction, was completed for Morgan County between April and July of 2009. Greene's performed work including concrete paving, asphalt paving and landscaping on the roadway located in Weber Canyon near Croydon, Utah. This project was selected by the Utah ACPA as the "Best Portland Cement Concrete Pavement County Road Project" completed in Utah during 2009.
Greene’s Inc. went under the spotlight in an episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" featuring the Harrison family's home in Bountiful, Utah. Greene’s employees Kirk, Jimmy, and Kelly Greene (the only one in red) helped transform the modest house into the home the Harrison’s deserved. Oakland Construction, the general contractor, did a terrific job coordinating all the trades involved in the construction process.

In just ten days, our crews saw-cut 180 ft. by 50 ft. of I-215 into sections for removal and replacement. Work included the sectioning, removal, and replacement of concrete pavement, as well as the doweling of openings, sealing of joints, and striping of the freeway.
Greene’s Inc. was contracted to remove the steeple from a local church in Farmington, UT. Our crew saw-cut the steel steeple from the roof of the church with no negative impact to existing structure.
Greene’s Inc. successfully provided the core drilling throughout the project to make way for new plumbing and electrical systems. Our team also severed a piece of the building in preparation for selective demolition.
After re-grading the perimeter of the U, our Concrete Division refinished the surface of the U by adding 4” of concrete on top of the existing structure. Additional concrete was also placed around the edge of the U to accommodate a new lighting system. Layton Construction was hired by the university to be the general contractor on the project and restoration funds were raised by alumni.
These two projects were done for Horizon Development’s low-income town house developments. Our divisions performed all the excavation work for the foundations of the homes, as well as the concrete work; including footings, foundations, slabs, driveways, walks and drive approaches. Our landscape division also provided the landscaping for both developments.
This single-family residence in Bountiful, Utah underwent a major overhaul. After clearing the site and re-grading the backyard, we placed retaining walls, poured a multi-colored concrete basketball court and even poured a deck around the existing swimming pool. This project was performed for Campbell Construction.
On this project for Centerville City, we cleared the site and imported engineered fill to raise the grade. We then excavated for footings, formed and poured the footings, columns, pavilion slab, and sidewalks around the park. Our landscape division also installed a sprinkler system and sod.
In the Fall of 2006, Greene’s Inc. was contracted by the DFCM (Department of Facilities, Construction, and Management) to construct a pedestal to hold a retired U.S. Air Force F-4 jet. The pedestal, constructed out of reinforced concrete, sets the jet at an angle that simulates flight and is high enough to be easily visible from the freeway in Roy, Utah. The F-4 has become the centerpiece of the Hill Air Force Base Museum and plans for other similar pedestals are in the works.
Working for Cal Wadsworth, we performed demolition work in the old Elephant Exhibit. The footings and foundation of the buildings were removed along with the waterways and foliage that surrounded the complex, and new windows were saw cut into existing structures.
Working for Vulcraft in Brigham City, we saw-cut and removed old paint tanks and concrete slabs, excavated footings and walls for new paint tanks below grade, and formed and poured mat footings and single form foundation walls.
Working for American Civil Constructors and UDOT, we saw-cut and removed rumble strips and other miscellaneous full depth concrete paving. This work was all performed under strict time constraints due to freeway closures. Our concrete and seal divisions replaced the concrete that was removed.
Working directly with UDOT, we repaired and patched the concrete on I-15 north and southbound between Lagoon and Layton using a specialized mastic patching material that’s heated to 400 degrees before being installed. It still stands as the largest job using mastic material ever performed in the United States.
Working for American Civil Constructors and UDOT under strict time constraints on nights and weekends with very strict traffic control, Greene’s Inc. rock drilled and epoxied thousands of dowel and tie bars into the concrete for added stabilization and strength. Sealing around all the joints of the replaced patches and panels was also required.
This project required our crews to maintain very strict traffic control to enable the flow of traffic at all times. Working directly for West Valley City, we sawed and removed old joint material, high-pressure water-blasted joints, and installed closed cell backer rod. Hot-applied rubber sealant material completed the rehabilitation process.
